I haven’t been on my blog in so long and totally failed my ‘blog every day in may’ challenge, which I am annoyed at mostly because I know I could’ve done it if I hadn’t been so lazy but adjusting to two jobs has really drained me (although I know that sounds like an excuse!).
Despite me not being on my blog I have invested a lot into it outside of actually posting, firstly I bought my own domain name which has changed my blog from being a ‘.wordpress.com’ to simply ‘.com’ which I am pretty happy about. I feel like it is a more professional and easy to remember name than before. I had been debating whether to do it or not however I am feeling a lot better after doing it and the price was really good at only $18 which was around £12.
To add to this I finally got my own logo thanks to the amazing graphic designer Stephen Henderson (who I luckily enough work with), which has made me feel so much more professional and I feel like I am putting my little stamp of approval on every blog post with it sitting at the top of my page. I gave him a few hints of what I wanted for my blog post logo and the rest was him, he did amazing with catching my personality within the details I gave him. I am so grateful to him and would honestly tell anyone to use him because of how quickly he got the designs to me. I have linked his Facebook above so if anyone wants to use him they can.
On top of these two changes I got myself little business cards so that if I ever have any more collaborations with companies or people ask about my blog I can give them a business card to show them. I feel like having these will remind me to actually post more often too because I sometimes just need that kick up the bum to get me writing.
A little update about me personally, I am adjusting to two jobs currently and so I spend most my time working, eating or sleeping which has left little time to post but I am hoping that once I am fully adjusted I will get better at posting. Plus Jordan has been home the past two weekends and because we don’t get to spend much time together I prefer to spend the time we do have together instead of writing.
